WHAT`S ON AT LITTLE WITLEY VILLAGE HALL

JAZZ CLUB
The Jazz Club has been at the centre of the Hall`s social scene for over 25 years, with more than
250 gigs featuring top class national and international bands, and is firmly established on the UK
jazz scene. Dates for this period are :
Friday November 21st. BRIAN CARRICK and the ALGIERS STOMPERS
Friday December 19th. RICHARD LEACH`S SEVEN STARS OF JAZZ
All gigs start at 6.30 pm. with the traditional Little Witley Ploughman`s Supper, included in the

SHINDIG
This year`s
VILLAGE CHRISTMAS PARTY
will take place on Saturday December 13th. from 7.30 pm., and features (courtesy of Shindig)

in a Christmas extravaganza of traditional English carols, and a quest into the bizarre traditional
rituals in the folklore and folk music of England in midwinter, from one of the masters of
English folk music.
CAROLLING AND CRUMPETS
A lighthearted smattering of hilarious original songs, a sprinkling of carols both familiar and
unfamiliar,supported by John`s scintillating skill on a variety of squeezeboxes, and you have
an unbeatable recipe for a rattling good sing, guaranteed to keep spirits cheery and the cold at bay!
Tickets £10 each (£8 for under-16`s) from Steve or Jean Walker (01886 888830) include supper.
Don`t leave it too late - at the time of writing we have already sold over 60 seats, mostly to Shindig
addicts outside Little Witley!
BOXING DAY SHOOT
Hosted by the Salvo Gun Club, this is an open Clay Pigeon Shoot. Entries on the day. Hot breakfast
will be served from 9 am, shooting starts 10 am., and the bar will be open from 12 noon.
VILLAGE SOCIAL CLUB
The Village Social Club meets every Thursday from 9 pm., and is open to all who live in or near the
village. This is the occasion to meet and chat with friends and acquaintances, and catch up with all
the local gossip. During the summer and early autumn, these evenings turn into Barbecues, at the
slightly earlier time of 8 pm. - bring your own steaks or sausages, cook them on the Village Hall
barbecue, and enjoy the magnificent views and sunsets from the patio. Drinks are available from
the bar at Happy Hour prices all evening!
The bar is also open at lunchtime on Sundays 23rd. November, and 14th. December to coincide with
meetings of the Salvo Gun Club which uses the Hall`s facilities for its monthly Clay Pigeon Shoots.

Mondays : Heidi`s Keep Fit and Exercise Class. 6.30 to 7.30 pm. £ 3.50 per session.
Thursdays : Little Witley Social Club 9.00 to 11.00 pm. Happy Hour prices.
As soon as weather permits, these evenings turn into Sunset Barbecues on the
patio at the earlier time of 8 pm.
Sundays (monthly) : Bar open for pre-Sunday Lunch drinks 12.00 to 2.00 pm.

SALVO GUN CLUB
The Salvo gun club meets on the 4th Sunday of each month at Little Witley Village Hall for clay pigeon shooting.
New members of all ability levels are welcome.
